In Dead Space, No One Can Hear You Concept Art
Dead Space 3 has taken a bow stateside to some mixed reactions. Extensive weapon crafting. Good. Repetitive fetch quests and microtransactions. Not so good. Still, we'll get to make up our own minds this Friday when EA's slice-'em-up hits the shelves this side of The Pond. In the meantime, here's some rather awesome concept art.

Note. Don't Do Torture
What with Oscar contender Zero Dark Thirty coming under hostile media scrutiny for its depiction of harsh interrogatory techniques, Splinter Cell: Blacklist has found itself in the firing line too courtesy of a gratuitous QTE. A scene Ubisoft showed at last June's E3 and one that, only now, is being removed from the game.

Atari is dead, long live Atari!
It's game over man, game over. Yes Bill Paxton, yes it is. Atari, progenitors of home consoling (I will slip into hyperbole in this article), purveyor of dreams and inventors of our favourite pasttime have called it quits after 30 years.

What's in the box?? Dead Island's Deep Silver In Deep Sh*!
Here's a little something I tweeted earlier but bears a further comment or two. And by 'comment' I mean, 'let's all point and laugh at a big publisher's self-inflicted misfortune'.

London lane gets 8-bit-ified!
I do like myself some retro gaming. It's a shame that it takes a $100+ movie production, courtesy of the Mouse House, to shine a light on all things retro but hell, when the results look this good, I'll take it.

Three Dog gives us four reasons to be cheerful
That cheeky chappy Three Dog, you know, that loveable disc jockey whose dulcet tones helped sooth our wasteland woes in Fallout 3, is here and verbally shitting all over the place.

Portal's GLaDOS teasing cake In Del Toro's Pacific Rim
IT'S CHRISTMAS!...OK well there's like two weeks to go but that PRACTICALLY makes it Christmas Eve. And it seems that Hollywood Land is feeling generous this holiday season, as lately we have been treated to an avalanche of delicious, first-look trailers for some of the biggest films of 2013.

Goodnight Sir. Patrick and thanks for the memories
Let's bow our heads as one. Today, TV stalwart Sir Patrick Moore, he of The Sky At Night and, of course, Gamesmaster fame, passed away peacefully at the age of 89. Thank you so much for the memories. Rest easy.

Welcome! To the world of tomorrow!
GREETINGS! I COME FROM A LAND FAR, FAR AWAY...well actually I come from Essex which is far less exciting, and what point is there in making an entrance if it isn't mysterious or dramatic. Hmm, OK let me try this instead...
