Because this is no time to be beating around the bush with fancy headlines. This is a deadly serious article about the imagined relations of two trembling grotesques and the treats hidden beneath a familiar veil. Also some bonus thoughts about some other few demos I played. BONUS.

Hey, cupcake. Wait ... are we doing pet names yet? Well, just in case, let me tell you about some demos that I played through recently. This book I bought said that's a sure-fire way to take any relationship to the next level. I took a shot at Amy, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Asura's Wrath, The Darkness II and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Maybe afterwards you'll let me stroke your eyebrows without any gloves on.

It's been a while. Apparently it's not just good games which are terrified of coming out in the summer - even bad demos of bad games like to stay inside and get their sallow right. But we're getting back into the swing of things now - the storm clouds are gathering overhead and the games with their demos are starting to dribble out. This time it's Driver: San Francisco, El Shaddai, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine and Bodycount.

I forced myself to stop playing Persona 3 for a few hours to download some demos and then write about them, just for you! My gift, the gift of words. What? N-no ... I didn't keep the receipt. It's Fight Night Champion, Nail'd, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars and Dragon Age II. Hey, that last one is a proper game and everything.

My 360's hard-drive was delightfully full of Borderlands DLC so I didn't have any room for demos. Every day I whispered a grateful thanks to whichever lazy sod decided not to put that content on the GOTY disc. Then the madness came over me and here we are. Here we are again. With Crash Time 4, Dead Space 2, Gray Matter and Divinity II.

Hello there, how are you? Well I'm very sorry to hear that, I hope it's nothing serious. No, please don't show me. Here are some words about some demos I played recently for no apparent reason. This time: Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2, CSI: Fatal Conspiracy and Apache: Air Assault. That's a lot of colons.

I am the best at article titles. I remembered you can get trial versions of XBLA games so I did just that. Along with some of the usual demos of 'proper' games, we're looking it Sonic 4, Hydrophobia, Comic Jumper, The Force Unleashed 2 and Castlevania.

More demos. Hooray? Yes and no. It's a bit of a mixed bag but I'm feeling slightly less miserable and vitriolic than last time. Games are: Quantum Theory, Legend of the Guardians, WRC, MySims SkyHeroes, Gothic 4 and Enslaved. Onwards.

Life's not much fun when all your gaming comes from bargain bin PS2 games and 360 demos you had to wait a week just to download. Especially when they're demos for awful, awful games like Hawx 2, Kane and Lynch 2, Vanquish, Ninety-Nine Nights 2, Mafia 2 and Naruto something something. Come on, let's get this living nightmare over with.
